However, the premium kids cafes in Seoul come at a price, with 2-hour passes ranging between 15,000 and 30,000 KRW (only for children). But don’t worry! Today, we’ll introduce a more affordable and family-friendly option: Seoul’s Public Kids Cafes.

Why Choose Seoul’s Public Kids Cafes?

Seoul’s public kids cafes, also known as “Seoul-Type Kids Cafes,” offer a cost-effective, safe, and comfortable alternative to private kids cafes. Here’s why they’re a great choice:

The 1st Seoul Public Kids Cafe No.

  • Location : B2, Space Salim, 10 Noryangjin-ro, Dongjak-gu, Seoul (Daebang-dong).
  • Target Age : Children born from January 1, 2014, to December 31, 2020.
  • Fee : 5,000 KRW per child (guardian free, only 1 guardian allowed).
  • Hours :
    • Weekdays (Tue–Fri): Three sessions daily (09:30–17:30).
    • Weekends: Five sessions daily (09:30–20:00).
  • Parking : Limited parking. Public transportation is recommended.
    • First 30 minutes: 1,000 KRW. After additional 500 KRW for every 15 minutes (Maximum daily charge: 10,000 KRW)

Seoul Public Kids Cafe – Sangam-dong Branch

  • Location : 2nd–3rd Floor, Mapo-gu Childcare Support Center, 71 Sangamsan-ro 1-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
  • Target Age :
    • Children aged 12 months to 6 years (Born from 2018 to 2023, after their first birthday).
    • Children under 12 months or elementary school students are not allowed.
    • Siblings who do not meet the age requirement may stay and participate only on the 3rd-floor kids cafe.
  • Fee : 2,000 KRW per child (additional 1,000 KRW per 1 guardian).
  • Hours :
    • Weekdays (Tue–Fri): Three sessions daily (09:30–17:00).
    • Weekends (Sat–Sun): Four sessions daily (09:30–19:30).
  • Parking : Free parking is available but limited. Public transportation is strongly recommended.

Common Requirements for Visiting a Seoul Public Kids Cafe

  • Eligibility :
    • Only those officially registered as Seoul residents can use the facilities.
    • Foreign residents must present an Alien Registration Card with a Seoul address.
  • Reservation Process :
    • Reservations must be made through the “Our Neighborhood Care Portal” (우리동네키움포털).
    • Reservation slots open every Tuesday at 9 AM for the following week (Tuesday to Monday).
  • Important Notes :
    • Guardians must accompany children at all times.
    • Non-slip socks are mandatory for everyone.
    • Bring a copy of your Resident Registration (to confirm address and child’s age) and Alien Registration Card (for foreign residents).
